Andrea Mitchell is a renowned American television journalist, anchor, and commentator for NBC News based in Washington, D.C. She is the NBC News Chief of Foreign Affairs and also the Senior Washington Correspondent.

After graduating from high school, Andrea joined the University of Pennsylvania to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature.

While in college, Andrea worked as the news director of the student radio station WXPN. Even after graduation, she stayed around Philadelphia and was soon hired as a reporter at KYW radio.
