Biography of Andrew Lincoln

Andrew James Clutterbuck, better known as Andrew Lincoln, is an English actor who has achieved success in film, television, and theatre.

Born in London, Lincoln is the son of an English engineer and a South African nurse. His family moved to Hull when he was 18 and later settled in Bath when he was 8 or 9 years old.

Early Career

Lincoln's first experience in acting was during school, where he played the Artful Dodger in a production of "Oliver!".

He solidified his desire to become a professional actor after spending a summer at the National Youth Theatre of London. Following his schooling, Lincoln attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where he adopted the stage name "Andrew Lincoln."
